Field Day

Today at Seth's school they had a field day. There were all kinds of bounce houses, slides,  and an obstacle course.

Carter also got in on the fun.

The inflatable  houses were set up on the schools lawn. Since the Kindergarteners are already out for summer they allowed them to come this morning from 8:30-9:30 and take part in field day. There were only about 25 kindergarteners that came, so Carter and Keenan were able to have fun as well. Keenan has intimidated by the huge slides, but was happy to sit and bounce a little in the bounce house.

First Day Of Summer 2014

We did not want to miss one opportunity to enjoy summer vacation. I took the boys to the Price River Trail to ride their bikes. It is over a mile long. At the south end there is outdoor exercise equipment.

It was pretty cool. It is not made for little kids but they had fun climbing around. We went a total of 2.3 miles. Seth said that the trail was giving him so much energy. I think he meant exercise.

Keenan has grown to love swings. He use to scream and cry every time I would try to put him on a swing or send him down a slide. A few weeks ago he saw Seth and Carter having a fun time playing.  Now he loves them. He loves to swing on them all.

Happy Mother's Day

This was not really my Mother's Day present, but it arrived just in time. I am super excited. I have not played it yet because we lost our piano book and the new one has not arrived yet.  I need the book Hymns Made Easy.
It was a cold and rainy day but I will not complain too much because we really need the moisture. Thomas made me breakfast that morning. Seth and Carter slept in so we enjoyed a quiet breakfast with Keenan. I was able to teach the CTR 4 in the primary and they are so fun. I only had two little boys in my class that day and they were great. Every Sunday is great but I had a wonderful day and am so grateful to be a mother and have such a wonderful family.

Kindergarten Field Trip

We went to the Living Planet Aquarium

We had to meet at the school at 7:15 this morning. The bus left at 7:30. It was a cold morning but we were excited to get on our way.

There were 4 Kindergarten classes from our school. Each class wore a different color so that they would be more easily located. Seth's teacher made each student in his class a matching shirt. She is amazing.

It was fun to see the amazement on their faces.

These were the 5 kids in my group. They were all great behaved and we had an awesome time.

This was one of the favorite areas. It is in the shark tanks. They had about 4 sharks that were about 4 feet long. We went to this area twice.

This is a Gardner snake that the tour guide allowed all the students to touch. They all loved to feel the different textures on the top and underside of the snake.

The sting ray tank was the greatest hit of all. The students were able to pet the sting rays. I was surprised that the sting rays were allowing all these hand in the tank and were not scared away. There was a ledge around the edge of the tank and the sting rays would almost swim around in circle and be petted. They would also sometimes stick their heads up out of the water on the edges.

We probably spent a half hour standing around this tank. We had a great time. One of the girls in my group said that she had a great time, but wished would could have stayed longer then a half hour. I told her we had been there for over 2 hours. She could not believe it. The time really did go by fast. We had more then six kids fall asleep on the bus on the way back to school. It was funny to watch as their heads bobbed around and we stopped them falling out of their seats. It was a fun trip.
