Who is in the cage?

Carter loves the laundry baskets. The other day I was cleaning up down stairs and I found Carter sitting in the dark in these laundry baskets.  He had taken a little toy that lights up and had a great time. He surely keeps me busy and it would be nice to have a cage for him sometimes. It is always great when he finds his own entertainment

Apple Pie Filling

Jennifer made some apple pie filling.  Seth and Carter helped by peeling the apples.

We borrowed this apple peeler from a friend and the boys just loved it. It was pretty slick. Seth was able to peel the apples faster then Jennifer could cut them for the pie filling.

We loved it so much that we ordered our own off of Amazon and can not wait for it to come in the mail.

This is the first batch of pie filling

Carter's Broken Nose...J/K

One night, when we were leaving my parents house, Carter fell down the front steps.  There are about five cement steps.  He had a bag of fruit snacks in one hand and a granola bar in the other hand.  That left no hands to lessen his fall.  He went down face first onto the sidewalk below.  It smashed his little nose.  It left a  very nice bruise across the bridge of his nose.  He cried a bit, but was soon fine.  He felt much better once we picked him up and gave him back his granola bar that had shot out of his hand.  He did not complain that his nose hurt, but I kept asking him if his nose was broken.  He kept frowning and saying that is was broken.  It was so cute that I had to keep asking him.

Keenan's baby blessing

We had Keenan's baby blessing this last Sunday in Price.  It was a good time.  We had most of our families come.  It was good to see everyone.

Here is Keenan relaxing before church.

He might not have liked all the pictures.

Wearing all white.  Jennifer made these pants for Seth's blessing back in 2008.  They have been good for three boys so far.  Kids just don't wear them out with one day of use.

He fell back asleep and was a good boy.  He slept for the first part of church, then woke up just as I was taking him up to the front for the blessing.  He was awake but very calm.  He did not make a single peep during the blessing.  What a good boy.

Jennifer and I are very happy with our new little baby boy.  He is doing well and is healthy.  Now at 2 months, he has started to smile and interact.  He is a lot of fun.

Kidney Stone

Jennifer spent most of the day in the hospital yesterday.  She had a kidney stone in her left kidney.  The doctors believe that is was a result of being pregnant.  She should not have anymore until she is pregnant again, and even then it is unlikely.

She went to the hospital to receive a procedure called Lithotripsy.  They used shock waves to break the stone into smaller pieces, so that it can pass on its own.

Jennifer has to be put to sleep for the procedure.  This is the first IV that she has ever had.
Everything went well and she was back to her normal routine later that same day.

BYU Football

We told Seth that we were going to the BYU football game about a week before the game.  He asked everyday if it was time to go to the game.  Jennifer told Seth that we were going on the 8th.  He would check the calendar everyday to see what day it was and how close we were to the 8th.

On the way to the game, we got stuck in some traffic because of an accident.  Seth was almost in tears saying, "We're not going to make it to the game."  We reassured him, and he calmed down.  We stopped at the BYU bookstore and Seth was almost crying again saying that he wanted to go to the game.  Then he did not want to eat lunch, he just wanted to go to the game.  We had lunch in our usual spot.

It was a lot of fun to be at the game and take in the atmosphere of a live game.  It was a little hot.  We had plenty of water.  We have tickets to a game in November, so it should not be as hot for that one.

Seth's Golf Club

Carbon Country Club has a practice hole along side the 9th hole where anyone can go and hit for free.  They have a long hole where you can pull out your driver and another green for chipping.  Grandpa Jenson hit on the long hole and Seth and I practiced our short game.  I cut a eight iron and put electrical tape on the handle.  It seemed to work pretty well for Seth.  We had a great time.
