Seth always wants to buy the things that he sees on TV commercials. It is usually a toy. Since we are close to Mother's Day, the commercials are for all the things that you can buy for your mom. Seth saw a commercial for strawberries dipped in chocolate. He wanted to get them for his mom. We decided to make a batch of our own. I told Seth the plan that morning and Seth did well to keep the secret all day long. Jennifer had a Relief Society activity that night so we did our work while she was gone.
We melted chocolate chips and then dipped strawberries and apples.
We also did white chocolate chips. In the white chocolate we dipped strawberries, apples and pretzels.
The boys burned their hands just a little bit. I helped to get plenty of chocolate on each piece. Then we put the dipped fruit in the fridge to set up.
We had a little bit of leftover melted chocolate, so we ate it with a spoon.
The boys had a good time. Mom was pleased.
