We went to the BYU Football game this last Saturday. BYU beat Virginia 41-33. It was a hot day, but it was a lot of fun. The boys loved to be part of the action in the stadium and to sing the Cougar Fight Song many times.
We went down to the Cougar Walk and the tailgate party. Then we walked back up the hill to the church parking lot for lunch. We decided to take the double (triple) stroller. Thomas pushed the boys up the hill. It was nice to have the stroller to carry all of our stuff. We got some free t-shirts, a few posters, and other BYU gear.
The stroller was great. The boys were thankful for the ride. It was a lot easier than carrying Keenan and pulling Seth and Carter along. Seth and Carter would have been tired by time we got back to the church. Just as we entered the parking lot, Carter jumped out and ran to the van. He was very proud to have won the race.
The Cougar Walk is one of our favorite parts of going to the game. The football players arrive in a bus and are dropped off on the North end of the stadium. They then walk down the East side of the stadium and enter through the South gates. Fans line both sides of the sidewalk and give the players five. It is fun to see the players and the coaches. Sorry, no time for autographs.
Keenan took a nice nap before we went to the game. Then he was wide awake and enjoyed the game very much. All of the boys did well, even with the heat. We had plenty of water, but did not have to go down to use the restroom except at halftime.
We made BYU shirts for the boys to wear. They loved them. At the tailgate party, BYU Alumni booth was handing out black stickers that go under your eyes. They said BYU on them. The boys loved them, even more than the shirts. Carter's fell off, he was sweating too much. Seth kept his and wore them for a few days after school.
Carter got a BYU rag cap for your head. You get it wet and then wear it to keep cool. He loves it. He wears it to bed to keep his head cool. We had a lot of fun at the BYU Football game. We are excited to go again in November.
