Yesterday Seth and I had a few hours to ourselves. Jennifer went to the Draper Temple dedication broadcast at the stake center. Seth is close to crawling, but not quite there yet. I try to let him play on the floor as much as possible. A bonus for me is that he can't really move but I get to watch TV and don't have to give him constant attention. He gets up on his hands and knees but does not move. He is able to spin around on his belly and then roll where ever he wants to go. In this picture he has rolled over to my taxes and dumped all the papers out of the envelope. He said that he was just double checking the numbers. This morning he was playing with a stack of old text books that I had next to the closet. So that he did not pull one down on his head, I selected one for him. I gave him my old Individual Income Tax book and he seemed grateful. After flipping though the pages and tasting a few he put it up for later. I think once he realized it was the 2008 edition, he was disappointed. Seth used to hate to be on his belly. If we placed him on his belly he would cry and immediately try to flip over to his back. Now if I sit him up on the floor, he will move to his belly and roll around to get at things. He is starting to get the idea that there is more to play with in this world that just those things his mom and dad put within his reach.
Today Jennifer put Seth down for a nap. When she went in to check on him, he was asleep but had flipped over to his belly. This boy sure does love his tummy time.

Way to go Seth! Once he figures it out there will be no looking back. He will probably be walking before we know it!
How cute!!! I want to hold that little boy before he starts walking and won't sit on anyone's lap.
We told you just a little help and he would be going on his own. He is such a doll and now he will be a good reader!
