Cornered

Carter is all over the place, but he can’t even crawl yet. He has his own way of somehow getting from here to there. I sit him on the floor and before I know it he is gone. He slides around on his bum and can do a full circle. He tries to crawl forward but ends up pushing himself backwards. He also rolls from side to side around the room. Many times his backward motion gets him cornered. He will back to where he can no longer move and then has to cry for help. Usually he is stuck in a corner or wedged under the couch. If only he would move forward. I try to put things just out of reach in front of him so that he will move forward to get them, but he just arches his back and lifts his hands in the air so that he is high centered on his belly and cries. It is a little funny. He does not realize how easy it would be to just move forward. I guess he is just still building the muscles that are needed for crawling.

There have been a few times that Seth has places toys on the couch and Carter has tried to pull himself up to the couch. He also goes for his mother's cellphone. He gets up to the couch and then does not know what to do or how to get back down. He wants to move around so much but just is not strong enough. I am sure he will be crawling before much longer.

It is a little comical the pickles they get themselves in. Your right though he will get the hang of it sooner or later. Being stuck under the couch can be the worst!

He looks so much like Seth in some of those pictures! I thought you were doing Seth and Carter comparison pics at first, then realized it was just Carter! He is way cute!

What a cutie! It seems as if every child goes through this. Soon enough he will be crawling then you will have to get him out of everything!!

That is a little funny but I bet it is super frustrating for you and him.
