Block the Stairs!!!

The first Saturday that we were in Price, Grandma Jenson and I were making a menu and shopping list and we heard a little thud and then Cater crying. He was at the bottom of the stairs. He was alright. Just a little shook up. Grandpa hurried and placed two chairs in front of the stairs until we could come up with a more permanent solution. 

When Thomas got off work he got online and ordered a gate from Baby-R-Us. It arrived a week later. 

The first step was to read the instructions.

 Then locate all the parts and see how they will fit and go together.

Make some modifications.

 

Thomas put things together three or four times, after Grandpa  changed his mind about how he wanted things done.

 Grandpa Jenson did everything he could to make the gate as durable as possible. He went out and bought different screws to be sure they will not tear through. He needed 4 screws and bought 4 screws which was great until he broke one. It took close to a week to get it all installed to Grandpa's satisfaction. It should be around for a long time!!!
